Rocker Tommy Stewart takes to the streets for Team 25

Tommy Stewart will run his first ever marathon in Santa Barbara on November 6, 2010. Tommy is raising funds for his efforts with proceeds going to Team 25. More of Tommy’s story to come... Follow Team 25 on Facebook for his training progress!!

IronMan to Represent Team 25 in Lake Placid!

On July 25th, 59 year old Ron Rasque from Onalaska, WI, will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles at the Ironman competition in Lake Placid, NY, raising funds for Team 25 through the Janus Charity Challenge.

"This cause is especially meaningful to me as my great nephew, Joel, has A-T. He and his family have been battling this disease for more than a dozen years. I have seen first-hand what the Shjon Podein’s Children Foundation can do for children like him and the HOPE they have in the research that is funded." -Ron

Ron is raising funds through the Janus Charity Challenge. To inspire athletes to participate, Janus makes additional contributions to the beneficiaries of the top fundraisers at each of the 7 US Ironman races, up to $10,000. All funds must be raised/pledged by the day prior to the race (July 24, 2010).

While in Lake Placid, Ron will be renting the home of former NHL Great, Mike Richter. Mike also completed Ironman Lake Placid in 2007. As we at Team 25 are all about hockey, we have challenged Ron to beat Mike’s time of 12 hours, 49 minutes, and 10 seconds!
